Ch. 5 - Developing a Global Vision

  Hewlett Packard’s Catalyst Initiative is helping kids across the world learn how to solve some of the seemingly most intractable global challenges. Catalyst also demonstrates the problem-solving capabilities of HP technology; expands markets by increasing education rates and wealth; and builds relationships and goodwill with customers.

Ch. 11 - Developing and Managing Products

   T he business has been re-developing the brand of Voodoo. (company who first introduced OMEN Computers). This was firstly introduced on the 10th June 2008 with the revelation that Voodoo will focus on high-end, top spec computers rather than gaming machines.  The product was introduced to the market in 2015 as HP OMEN. 

Ch. 3 Ethics and Social Responsibility

  HP is one of the UW’s main technology suppliers, and the company has many sustainability initiatives. Sustainability is firmly integrated into the company’s product design process, which aims to decrease the environmental impact of products across their life cycles. HP is part of CDP’s Climate Supplier A List for its exemplary efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in 2015.

  The HP Way HP was founded by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard in 1939. Their first product was an audio oscillator and one of their first customers Walt Disney. We earn customer respect and loyalty by consistently providing the highest quality and value. We achieve sufficient profit to finance growth, create value for our shareholders and achieve our corporate objectives
